Well , how bad am I ? I said I'd post this the next day , that was 19 days ago ! Just been sooo busy. Anywho it's here now. I hope you can see it clearly, I wanted to do a lil momento of me and my Da so I had some pics of me and me and him photo copied. ( You need a printer that uses a separate toner , I discovered this after a lot of failed attempts ! So I had mine done at the printers. )
So I distressed my ATC with Tim Holtz inks and a blending tool and stamped some clock images I had on there to .
Then the fun part, I transferred the photo copy image to my ATC by blotting over the image with the ATC behind using acetone ( you do need to protect your surfaces when you do this ) the acetone reacts with the toner and the ink is released onto your card below ! WOW ! It's a fabby technique particularly if you want a aged effect .The piece of card in the bottom left is actually Tim Holtz Grunge paper and looks so old now was perfect for this effect .
Any way this technique has been done many times by crafters more experienced than me and I know if you google "image transfers with acetone" you will get video demos and a much more detailed explanation than mine !
I'm gonna sign off now as it's way past my bed time , have a great week !
